Affordable and accessible healthcare is a constitutional right and the public hospitals in India provide healthcare free of cost. The poorest of the poor visit the public hospitals for any treatment and medical care and the priority of CURE initiative is to serve the poor who cannot afford paid treatment. For any deformity or disability to be eradicated, the active leadership of the government is mandatory. The role of CURE as a voluntary organisation is to serve as a private partner in the Public – Private Partnership Program.
