Voices of Resilience: Highlights from World Clubfoot Day at Lady Hardinge Medical College

On June 3, 2026, the halls of Lady Hardinge Medical College (LHMC), New Delhi, were filled with more than just clinical discussion—they were filled with the stories of triumph that define our mission. Our World Clubfoot Day 2026 celebration was a powerful testament to what can be achieved when clinical expertise meets community action.

Leadership Rooted in Collective Action

We were honored to host our Chief Guest, Rtn Ajeet Jalan (District Governor 3011, 2026–2027). His address was a call to arms for the community:

  • The Power of Partnership: Rtn Jalan emphasized that eradicating the lifelong disability caused by clubfoot is not a task for any single entity. It requires the seamless collaboration of hospitals, NGOs like CURE India, and the Rotary network to ensure that no child remains untreated due to a lack of awareness or resources.
  • Early Intervention as a Right: His words served as a vital reminder that early detection is not just a medical procedure; it is a fundamental step in ensuring a child’s right to mobility and opportunity.

The Heartbeat of the Movement: Stories of Transformation

While the speeches laid the vision, the parents shared the reality. The event featured touching interactions with families who have navigated the treatment journey—from the moment of diagnosis to their child’s first confident steps.

These testimonies are the most effective tools we have in our mission. They offer more than medical information; they offer empathy and proof to other parents who may be currently struggling with uncertainty. As these stories show:

  • Clubfoot is treatable: With the Ponseti method, children can live full, active lives.
  • Consistency is the Catalyst: Success belongs to the families who attend every appointment, utilize the Foot Abduction Braces (FAB), and remain steadfast in their commitment.

CURE India: Scaling Impact with Credibility

As one of the Top 10 NGO’s in India, our work is built on institutional transparency of fund usage. Whether at a premier institution like Lady Hardinge or in a remote village, our mission remains the same: scaling our national intervention from 33% to 70% of all children born with clubfoot in India by 2030 (#RunFree2030).

How You Can Help Spread the Hope

  1. Watch and Share: [Link to Video] Every share could be the bridge that connects a child with a treatable condition to a life-changing clinic.
  2. Donate: Support the life-changing medical care that allows these children to thrive. Give today at cure.org.in/donate.
  3. Spread the Word: Use the hashtag #WorldClubfootDay2026 and #RunFree2030 to help us normalize the conversation around early clubfoot detection.

Because when awareness spreads, hope follows. Your share could be the reason a child walks tomorrow.
