Expanding the Reach: CURE India Intensifies Grassroots Awareness for Early Clubfoot Intervention in Koraput

At CURE India, our mission to ensure a life of mobility for every child requires relentless dedication to outreach. On November 3, 2025, our team member, Ms. Sasmita Jena (DPC, Koraput), exemplified this commitment by conducting crucial outreach visits in Odisha, covering multiple community touchpoints—three Anganwadi centres (Dhaudapodar, Salmanguda, and Deoghati) and one local school.
These visits are critical components of our grassroots strategy. By connecting directly with community health workers, educators, and families, we effectively spread awareness about clubfoot—a fully correctable congenital condition. The core message is clear: early intervention using the non-surgical Ponseti method guarantees that every child has the chance to walk, run, and dream freely, just like their peers.
Empowering these local centres is essential to accelerating the rate of early detection and connecting vulnerable families with our program, which provides free treatment. The effort in Koraput strengthens CURE India’s extensive national presence and fuels our massive social impact in remote areas.
As the largest clubfoot program in the world, having treated the most number of clubfoot children, our achievements are rooted in this tireless work. Our credibility as one of the Top 10 NGO's in the country is consistently affirmed by our presence on the ground and our unwavering transparency of fund usage.
We are dedicated to moving closer to our ambitious RunFree2030 vision: scaling our efforts to treat 70% of children born with clubfoot in the next 5 years. Together, through the support of our generous donors and volunteers, we are building a future where no child is left behind!
