How CURE India is Painting a Brighter, Disability-Free Future for Thousands of Families

As the vibrant hues of purple, pink, and gold fill the air this Holi 2026, the team at CURE India (often known simply as CURE) pauses to reflect on the most beautiful colors of all: the sight of a child taking their very first steps and the radiant smile of a parent who once feared their child would never walk.
Holi is a festival of new beginnings, the triumph of light over darkness, and the celebration of life’s diverse palette. At CURE India, recognized as one of the Top 10 NGO's in India, our mission is to ensure that no child’s life is shadowed by the burden of untreated Clubfoot. This year, we invite our donors, medical professions, and the general public to join us in adding the color of dignity to every young life.
In the spirit of the festival, we share these words of hope for the children we serve:
रंगों में घुली हो हर बच्चे की मुस्कान,
हर नन्हा कदम बने उम्मीद की पहचान।
दर्द की छाया अब दूर हो जाए,
होली संग हर जीवन में नई उड़ान आए।
(May every child’s smile be dissolved in colors,
May every tiny step become the identity of hope.
May the shadow of pain now fade away,
And with Holi, may every life find a new flight.)
The "new flight" mentioned in our poem is made possible through clinical excellence. CURE India operates the largest clubfoot program in the world, having documented the most number of clubfoot children treated globally—over 125,000 success stories to date.
Our success is rooted in the Ponseti method, the non-surgical gold standard for clubfoot correction. This treatment involves gentle manipulations and weekly plaster casts that gradually realign the foot. However, the journey doesn't end with casting. To prevent relapse, every child must transition to the FAB (Foot Abduction Brace) phase.
By providing Free Treatment and high-quality braces, CURE ensures that financial status never stands in the way of a child’s mobility. Our national presence across every state in India allows us to bring this specialized care directly to the families who need it most.
While we celebrate the thousands of children currently running and playing, our mission is driven by an urgent awareness of those we haven't reached yet.
| Metric | Current Status (2026) | 5-Year Goal (RunFree2030) |
| Percentage of Children Treated | 33% of Children in India | Scaling up to 70% |
| Reach | National Presence | Saturation in every district |
| Impact | 125,000+ lives | Universal Access to Care |
Our RunFree2030 initiative is a bold roadmap to bridge this gap. We believe that by 2030, no child in India should have to live with a treatable disability. To move from 33% to 70% coverage, we are expanding our outreach to ICDS centers, primary schools, and rural health clinics, ensuring early identification becomes a national standard.
As a Top 10 NGO in the country, CURE India holds itself to the highest standards of credibility. We understand that when you make a donation, you are entrusting us with the future of a child. We maintain a strict policy of transparency of fund usage, ensuring that every contribution is funneled directly into clinical supplies, FAB manufacturing, and the training of the dedicated staff who walk alongside these families.
Your support does more than just pay for a cast; it funds a transformation. It turns a lifetime of dependence into a lifetime of opportunity.
Holi is the perfect time to turn compassion into action. We invite you to join the CURE family in the following ways:
From all of us at CURE India, we wish you a joyful and colorful Holi 2026. Let this festival remind us that when we come together, we can wash away the gray shadows of disability and replace them with the vibrant colors of health, education, and dignity.
Here’s to a future where every child walks confidently toward their dreams.
Happy Holi! 💜👣
