From Classrooms to Anganwadis: How Parvathipuram’s Frontline Champions are Ensuring Every Child Gets a Chance to Walk.

In our mission to reach every child born with clubfoot, the success of our interventions is built upon the strength of our community partnerships. In Narsipuram village, Andhra Pradesh, that partnership was on full display as our District Programme Coordinator, Ms. K. Swapna, spearheaded a vital awareness outreach program designed to turn teachers and Anganwadi workers into proactive partners in child health.
By engaging multiple touchpoints within the village, Ms. Swapna ensured that clubfoot awareness is integrated into the daily routines of those who interact with children most:
Through these sessions, the community was educated on the physical signs of clubfoot and, crucially, the reality that it is a treatable condition that can be corrected with early intervention through the Ponseti method.
As one of the Top 10 NGO’s in India, CURE India is recognized for our institutional transparency of fund usage and our commitment to scaling the largest clubfoot program in the world.
We extend our sincere thanks to the school leadership and the dedicated Anganwadi workers of Narsipuram. Your openness to collaboration is the catalyst that allows our program to function. When we unite school authorities, health workers, and community stakeholders, we create a barrier-free path for children.
