Awareness in Action: How Local Partnerships are Transforming Lives in Uttar Pradesh

At the heart of every successful medical intervention is a community that understands it. For CURE India, the mission to eradicate disability caused by clubfoot doesn't just happen in clinics—it starts on the ground, in the classrooms, and within the local centers where families gather.
Recently, our dedicated District Program Coordinator (DPC), Ms. Josphen Samuel, conducted a series of vital community visits in Jhansi, Uttar Pradesh. By visiting a local Anganwadi Kendra and a Government School, Ms. Samuel bridge the gap between rural communities and life-changing medical care.
The success of the Ponseti method—the gold standard for clubfoot treatment—relies heavily on early detection. When frontline educators and healthcare workers are trained to recognize the condition, we can ensure that no child is left behind. These visits allow us to:
This work is impossible without collaboration. We want to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff of the Government School and the Anganwadi Kendra in Jhansi. Your willingness to prioritize the health of your students creates a ripple effect of hope throughout the district.
We also celebrate the tireless commitment of Ms. Josphen Samuel. Her efforts on the front lines are a primary reason why CURE India is recognized among the Top 10 NGOs in the country.
Currently, CURE India is proud to be treating 33% of children born with clubfoot across the nation. However, our mission is far from over. We are aggressively scaling our operations with a goal to reach 70% of children within the next five years.
Every visit to a village and every conversation with a teacher brings us one step closer to our ultimate goal: #RunFree2030.
Be a part of the change. Your support helps us scale our reach and provide mobility to thousands of children.
