Streamlining Care Pathways: Landmark Agreement with CMOH Office Ensures Seamless Referrals for Children with Clubfoot.

As part of our ongoing efforts to fortify partnerships with the Rashtriya Bal Swasthya Karyakram (RBSK), our State Program Coordinator for West Bengal, Ms. Reshmi, and District Program Coordinator for Asansol, Ms. Adlin, attended the pivotal RBSK Medical Officers’ Meeting at the CMOH Office in West Burdwan on August 21, 2026.

Empowering 47 Medical Officers for Early Intervention

Addressing a gathering of 47 RBSK Medical Officers, Ms. Reshmi delivered a comprehensive overview of CURE India’s clubfoot program, demystifying the clinical journey and outlining the non-surgical protocols of the globally recognized Ponseti method.

• Addressing Clinical Queries: The interactive session allowed medical officers to clarify specific diagnostic indicators for congenital clubfoot, review proper referral pathways, and understand the post-treatment bracing phase utilizing Foot Abduction Braces (FABs).
• A Landmark Coordination Agreement: A major operational breakthrough of the meeting came through discussions with CMOH Dy. 3, resulting in a formal agreement: children identified with clubfoot during RBSK screenings will henceforth be referred directly to our clinics with proper, formalized referral notes.
• Closing the Gap: This streamlined process eliminates bureaucratic friction, ensuring that a child identified in the field moves seamlessly into specialized, free-of-cost treatment without dangerous delays.
