On 15 September, our team had the opportunity to participate in an insightful Rashtriya Bal Swasthya Karyakram (RBSK) training session organized at Tamralipta Municipality Block, Purba Medinipur.
The session brought together more than 75 dedicated Medical Officers (MOs) and Pharmacists, creating an important platform to strengthen awareness and knowledge around the early identification and treatment of clubfoot.
Along with our team member Ms. Reshmi Saha (SPC, West Bengal), we engaged with healthcare professionals on three key areas:
The training emphasized the importance of identifying clubfoot as early as possible and connecting children with appropriate care without unnecessary delays.
Frontline healthcare providers play a crucial role in connecting children and families with timely treatment. Their ability to recognize clubfoot early and guide families toward specialized care can make an important difference in a child's treatment journey.
By strengthening the knowledge and referral networks of Medical Officers and Pharmacists, training programmes such as this can help improve access to specialized clubfoot services at the appropriate stage of care.
A clear and efficient referral pathway is an important part of ensuring that children identified with clubfoot can reach specialized treatment services.
The session highlighted the referral process to the Clubfoot Clinic at Tamralipta Medical College & Hospital, helping healthcare providers understand how affected children can be connected with specialized care.

15 सितंबर को हमारी टीम को तमलुक नगरपालिका ब्लॉक, पुरबा मेदिनीपुर में आयोजित एक महत्वपूर्ण राष्ट्रीय बाल स्वास्थ्य कार्यक्रम (RBSK) प्रशिक्षण सत्र में भाग लेने का अवसर मिला।
इस सत्र में 75 से अधिक समर्पित मेडिकल ऑफिसर्स (MOs) और फार्मासिस्टों ने भाग लिया। यह प्रशिक्षण क्लबफुट की शुरुआती पहचान और उपचार के बारे में जागरूकता एवं ज्ञान को मजबूत करने के लिए एक महत्वपूर्ण मंच बना।
हमारी टीम की सदस्य सुश्री रेशमी साहा (SPC, पश्चिम बंगाल) के साथ हमने स्वास्थ्यकर्मियों के साथ तीन प्रमुख विषयों पर चर्चा की:
प्रशिक्षण में इस बात पर विशेष जोर दिया गया कि क्लबफुट की पहचान जितनी जल्दी हो सके की जाए और बच्चों को बिना अनावश्यक देरी के उचित उपचार तक पहुँचाया जाए।
फ्रंटलाइन स्वास्थ्यकर्मी बच्चों और उनके परिवारों को समय पर उपचार से जोड़ने में महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभाते हैं। क्लबफुट की शुरुआती पहचान करने और परिवारों को विशेषज्ञ उपचार की दिशा में मार्गदर्शन देने की उनकी क्षमता बच्चे की उपचार यात्रा में महत्वपूर्ण योगदान दे सकती है।
मेडिकल ऑफिसर्स और फार्मासिस्टों के ज्ञान एवं रेफरल नेटवर्क को मजबूत करके, इस तरह के प्रशिक्षण कार्यक्रम बच्चों तक उचित समय पर विशेष क्लबफुट सेवाएँ पहुँचाने में मदद कर सकते हैं।
एक स्पष्ट और प्रभावी रेफरल प्रक्रिया यह सुनिश्चित करने में महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभाती है कि क्लबफुट से प्रभावित बच्चे विशेष उपचार सेवाओं तक पहुँच सकें।
इस सत्र में तमलुक मेडिकल कॉलेज एवं अस्पताल के क्लबफुट क्लिनिक में रेफरल की प्रक्रिया पर भी चर्चा की गई, जिससे स्वास्थ्यकर्मियों को प्रभावित बच्चों को विशेषज्ञ देखभाल से जोड़ने के तरीके को बेहतर ढंग से समझने में मदद मिली।
इस प्रभावी प्रशिक्षण सत्र के समन्वय और स्वास्थ्यकर्मियों को इस महत्वपूर्ण चर्चा के लिए एक साथ लाने में सहयोग करने के लिए श्री उज्ज्वल सामंता, कोऑर्डिनेटर, तमलुक नगरपालिका ब्लॉक का विशेष धन्यवाद।

फ्रंटलाइन स्वास्थ्यकर्मियों, विशेष क्लबफुट क्लिनिकों, चिकित्सा संस्थानों और समुदायों के साथ मिलकर हम शुरुआती पहचान से लेकर समय पर उपचार तक की पूरी प्रक्रिया को और मजबूत कर सकते हैं।
आइए, मिलकर यह सुनिश्चित करने की दिशा में काम करें कि उपचार के अभाव में कोई भी बच्चा क्लबफुट के कारण पीछे न रह जाए।
