On March 25, 2025, CURE India proudly conducted its 144th Medical Training Session on the Ponseti Method of Clubfoot Management at the Government Spine Institute, Civil Hospital Campus, Ahmedabad, Gujarat. This vital step reinforces CURE India’s mission to end disability from clubfoot by 2030 and ensure that no child is left untreated.
The session was inaugurated by respected medical leaders, including Dr. Piyush Mittal (Director, Government Spine Institute) and Dr. Sarvang Desai (Organizer, Gujarat Medical Council). The event was further enriched by the presence of valued CSR partners, Mr. Chhayank Patel and Mr. Hemant Modi from Saint-Gobain, along with distinguished guests Mr. Moses and Mr. Manickavelu from Bangalore—each playing a key role in strengthening the mission of transforming lives.
Medical insights were delivered by renowned specialists:
Their expert-led sessions offered in-depth knowledge on early detection, non-surgical correction, and sustainable aftercare using the Ponseti Method, the gold standard in clubfoot treatment.
The training brought together 75 dedicated doctors from across the region. Through a mix of theory and hands-on demonstrations, participants learned to diagnose and treat clubfoot with precision and compassion—ensuring timely and effective interventions for children who need it most.
These efforts directly support CURE India’s growing network of 447+ clinics across 300+ districts, embedded in state medical colleges and hospitals across India. Since 2008, more than 115,000 children have received free treatment, including long-term support through Foot Abduction Braces (FAB) distributed for five years post-treatment.
CURE India’s success is powered by a Public-Private Partnership model—collaborating with state governments for clinic infrastructure and with CSR partners to sustain and expand the program. This model not only sets CURE India apart but ensures lasting impact.
We are deeply grateful to the Government Spine Institute and Civil Hospital Ahmedabad for their steadfast support and partnership in this transformative journey.
Whether you're a medical professional, student, donor, or corporate partner—your support matters. Help us reach more children, train more doctors, and build a clubfoot-free India.
Together, let’s ensure every child walks into a brighter future. 👣💙
