Empowering Mothers, Empowering Families: CURE India Joins National Andhra Pradesh Women's Health Campaign

CURE India proudly stands in firm solidarity with the national mission embodied by the "Swasth Nari, Sashakt Parivar Abhiyaan" (Healthy Woman, Empowered Family Campaign), which was launched by Hon’ble PM Shri Narendra Modi Ji through a virtual meeting at Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh. Running from September 17th to October 2nd, 2025, this initiative underscores a powerful truth: an empowered woman is the bedrock of a thriving family and a resilient nation. The event was graced by high-level commitment, including the presence of AP Governor S. Abdul Nazeer, Dr G. Lakshmisha IAS, S. Allakkiya IAS (Joint Collector), respected MLAs, and dedicated teams from the NHM and RBSK. This multi-sectoral support for WomenHealth and HealthyFamilies is precisely the kind of partnership that accelerates our own mission of ensuring every child walks free.
The synergy between our work and this national campaign is profound. When mothers are healthy and informed, they are the strongest possible advocates for their children's well-being. The campaign’s focus on strengthening family health directly supports our efforts to promote early detection and timely treatment for clubfoot. Our established partnerships with government networks like the RBSK are essential for this success, enabling us to seamlessly integrate the Ponseti method for free treatment into the public health system across Andhra Pradesh and our entire national presence. CURE India recognizes that investing in the health of women is an investment in the future mobility and dignity of the next generation of children and their families.
This comprehensive approach to social impact is built on a foundation of trust and credibility. As the largest clubfoot program in the world, we have treated the most number of clubfoot children, and our success is inextricably linked to our ethical practices. We are honored to be recognized as one of the Top 10 NGOs/Non-Profits in India, a distinction that is a testament to our transparent operation and the complete transparency of fund usage. Aligning our mission with this powerful government initiative maximizes the reach of every donation, ensuring that our resources are used effectively to deliver life-changing care while supporting the broader goals of national health.
The commitment shown by the government through the Swasth Nari, Sashakt Parivar Abhiyaan provides us with fresh hope and an imperative to match their vision with urgent action. We are currently treating 33% of children born with clubfoot in India. However, our ambitious RunFree2030 initiative is focused on scaling up our efforts to reach 70% of these children in the next five years. This rapid expansion requires sustained resources to train more medical professionals and support the infrastructure that powers our outreach. We invite the public, medical professions, and donors to partner with us. Whether through a financial donation or dedicating your time to volunteer, your support helps empower mothers and secure a brighter, mobile future for their children.
Together, in solidarity with this powerful national movement, we move closer to our vision of a healthier, empowered, and clubfoot-free India.
