Sowing Seeds of Compassion: CURE India Inspires Future Ambassadors at Maitreyi College

Today, the future of ClubfootCare looked brighter as our team had the immense privilege of conducting an orientation session for 25 students at Maitreyi College, Delhi. The session introduced them to CURE India’s profound mission of transforming the lives of children born with clubfoot, while actively encouraging these sharp young minds to explore opportunities to volunteer, contribute, and become powerful ambassadors of change. It was genuinely heartwarming to witness the enthusiasm of the students, their eagerness to learn, and their palpable commitment to making a tangible, positive social impact in society. Together, we are sowing crucial seeds of compassion, awareness, and action among the next generation of leaders.

The energy witnessed among these students is precisely the fuel required for the rapid expansion of our mission. As potential members of the YouthForChange movement, they can become key advocates for early detection within their communities and social circles. Their involvement—from organizing awareness campaigns and leveraging digital advocacy to coordinating local fundraising efforts—is crucial for ensuring that free treatment, using the globally accepted Ponseti method, reaches more vulnerable families. By engaging students from institutions like Maitreyi College, we are not just gaining volunteers; we are embedding the knowledge of clubfoot treatment deep within the fabric of society, a vital step toward making the condition easily identifiable and treatable nationwide.

This grassroots engagement is a core component of our global standing and our unwavering credibility. As the largest clubfoot program in the world, we have treated the most number of clubfoot children, and our success is inextricably linked to the dedication of every individual who supports us. We are deeply honored to be recognized as one of the Top 10 NGOs/Non-Profits in India, a distinction earned through our commitment to both ethical action and the complete transparency of fund usage. Every student inspired in this session becomes a vocal testament to the effectiveness and honesty of our work, strengthening our reputation and expanding the reach of our massive national presence.

However, the need for action remains urgent. We are currently treating 33% of children born with clubfoot in India. Our ambitious RunFree2030 initiative is focused on scaling up our efforts to reach 70% of these children in the next five years. This rapid expansion requires not only the passion of every Maitreyi College Volunteer but also the financial support to expand clinics and train more medical professionals. Your generous donation provides the infrastructure necessary to integrate these enthusiastic students into our operational framework and truly multiply our capacity for healing. With every inspired student and every new partnership, we move a step closer to ensuring that no child grows up with the burden of untreated clubfoot.

Join us in this journey of hope and contribute to securing a brighter, mobile future for every child.
