Sehore District Achieves Clubfoot-Free Status: A Proud Milestone for CURE India and Madhya Pradesh

Posted on November 13, 2025

This is a moment of profound joy and a major milestone in our journey toward a Clubfoot-Free India! We are absolutely thrilled to announce that Sehore District in Madhya Pradesh has been officially declared Clubfoot-Free! This remarkable achievement is a shining testament to what can be accomplished when compassion meets unwavering commitment.

This monumental success was realized through a robust partnership under the National Child Health Program (RBSK). The tireless efforts of the Sehore district health department and CURE India’s focused collaboration on early identification, awareness, and treatment have guaranteed that no child in Sehore will suffer from untreated clubfoot anymore. This means that every child born with the condition in Sehore is now being successfully identified and managed with the non-surgical Ponseti method, ensuring they receive the free treatment necessary for a life of mobility.

This victory is deeply rooted in CURE India's core principles: building a vast national presence and generating a measurable social impact. As the largest clubfoot program in the world, having treated the most number of clubfoot children, this district-level success serves as a powerful model for the rest of the country. It validates our strategic focus on empowering local healthcare systems and ensuring the transparency of our fund usage.

A big congratulations and heartfelt gratitude go out to the dedicated healthcare teams, the district administration, and all the families and community members who embraced the treatment program. Their commitment and belief in the curability of clubfoot made this possible.

This achievement significantly propels us toward our ambitious RunFree2030 vision: scaling our efforts to treat 70% of children born with clubfoot in the next 5 years.

We invite you to celebrate this historic proud moment with us. Your continued donation or service as a volunteer helps replicate the Sehore model across other districts. Together, we can ensure every child walks with confidence. Donate today at cure.org.in/donate.
