Nurturing Tomorrow’s Social Innovators: CURE India Welcomes JMC Students for Internship Orientation

At CURE India, we believe that the pursuit of social justice and inclusive healthcare is a relay race—one that requires fresh perspectives, boundless energy, and a commitment to systemic change. This week, we were honored to open our doors to 30 bright students from Jesus and Mary College (JMC), Delhi University, for an immersive internship orientation program at our National Office.

Building a Foundation for Social Impact

Under the visionary guidance of our Founder and Director, Dr. Santhosh George, the students were given a comprehensive introduction to the complexities and rewards of the social development sector. The orientation wasn’t just an introduction to our work; it was a deep dive into the philosophy that drives us:

  • The Mission: Understanding the systemic impact of treating clubfoot—a condition that, when left unaddressed, dictates the trajectory of a child’s entire life.
  • The Methodology: Exploring the Ponseti method and why clinical excellence, combined with compassionate community outreach, is the only way to scale true health equity.
  • The Ecosystem: Insights into nonprofit management, the mechanics of CSR engagement, and the vital importance of government partnerships in sustaining healthcare infrastructure.

Empowering Young Changemakers

We don't just view interns as students; we view them as the future architects of India’s social welfare. Through this journey, these 30 JMC students will move beyond the classroom to engage with the real-world challenges of:

  • Community Outreach: Learning how to effectively communicate health messaging to reach the most vulnerable families.
  • Data-Driven Advocacy: Understanding how transparency and rigorous reporting create the institutional credibility that defines us as one of the Top 10 NGO’s in India.
  • Empathy-Led Service: Witnessing firsthand how organizational strategy translates into a child’s first confident step.

"We believe that engaging young minds today helps build a more inclusive and caring tomorrow. Through this internship, these students are becoming active participants in the movement to ensure every child born with clubfoot in India can run free by 2030."

A Partnership for Progress

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Jesus and Mary College, Delhi University, for their continued partnership in nurturing socially conscious leaders. By choosing to dedicate their time and talents to the #RunFree2030 mission, these students are already making an impact far beyond their academic requirements.

Join the Movement:

  1. Support our Interns: Follow their journey as they contribute to our outreach and administrative goals.
  2. Donate: Your support enables us to provide the clinical materials that our teams and interns work so hard to distribute. Give at cure.org.in/donate.
  3. Stay Connected: Join us as we work to scale our reach to 70% of all clubfoot cases in India by 2030.

Together, we are building a more inclusive future, empowering the next generation to lead with compassion and transform lives.
