From Campus to Community: CURE India Honours 11 Inspiring Interns from Kamla Nehru College for Driving Social Impact

The future of social change is bright, and CURE India was honoured to witness this firsthand today! We proudly celebrated the passionate students from Kamla Nehru College, Delhi University, at our National Office, as they successfully completed their comprehensive 60-hour internship with CURE India. This program is a testament to the power of Youth Leadership and Service to Society.
These 11 amazing interns took on meaningful responsibilities that directly contributed to our mission. Their work included engaging with children receiving free treatment, supporting crucial field activities, assisting in essential documentation, and wholeheartedly committing to our goal: ensuring every child born with clubfoot gets the chance to walk, run, and thrive. Their dedication and commitment truly make them inspiring future changemakers.
This impactful program would not be possible without the visionary support of our academic partners. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the College Principal and to Prof. Ritu Sharma, Department of Sociology, for their continuous support, guidance, and for sending such enthusiastic students to intern with us. Their encouragement plays a vital role in nurturing socially responsible youth and strengthening meaningful community partnerships.
As the students received their certificates today, we celebrated not just the completion of their 60 hours, but their profound spirit of service and their drive to create real impact on the lives of children and their families. This practical experience of "Learning by Doing" is invaluable.
CURE India is the largest clubfoot program in the world, having treated the most number of clubfoot children globally. Our widespread social impact is accelerated by the energy of young volunteers and interns. Our credibility as one of the Top 10 NGO's in the country is continuously affirmed by the high calibre of youth we engage and our commitment to transparency of fund usage.
We are dedicated to moving closer to our ambitious RunFree2030 vision: scaling our efforts to treat 70% of children born with clubfoot in the next 5 years.
Wishing all 11 interns a bright and successful future—may they continue to inspire, uplift, and transform lives wherever they go. Together, we create a better future.
