Medical Excellence: CURE India Conducts 156th Advanced Ponseti Training in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar

On September 20, 2020, CURE India marked another significant achievement in its commitment to Child Health by successfully conducting its 156th Advanced Ponseti Medical Training at the Main Auditorium, Government Medical College, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar. This program was a powerful demonstration of Medical Excellence, bringing together passionate medical professionals committed to enhancing their expertise in ClubfootManagement and ensuring that this completely treatable disability is eliminated across the region. The training underscored the fact that our mission is rooted in empowering the national healthcare ecosystem with the best possible skills and knowledge.

The training was led by two eminent faculties, showcasing a powerful exchange of expertise from across India: Dr Parmananda Gupta (HOD, Orthopaedic Department, Government Medical College & Hospital, Chandigarh) and Dr Vikash Gupta (HOD, Department of Orthopaedics, VMMC & Safdarjung Hospital, New Delhi). They generously shared their extensive knowledge, practical insights, and the latest advancements in the Ponseti method, ensuring participants received the highest level of HealthcareEducation. Throughout the day, doctors engaged in interactive lectures, crucial live demonstrations, and intensive hands-on sessions. This practical approach is fundamental to gaining the competence and confidence required to apply the precise Ponseti technique in clinical practice, emphasizing evidence-based practices and effective patient care for the little warriors and their families.

This continuous commitment to professional development, now reaching its 156th session, is the backbone of our operational credibility. As the largest clubfoot program in the world, we have provided free treatment to the most number of clubfoot children, and our success is inextricably linked to maintaining a uniform standard of excellence. We are proud to be recognized as one of the Top 10 NGOs/Non-Profits in India, a distinction that is a testament to our ethical stewardship and the complete transparency of fund usage. The training at Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar Ponseti Training is a vital function of our massive national presence, ensuring that every single one of our partner clinics adheres to the highest global standards, maximizing our social impact and the value of every donation.

The success of this training provides a renewed sense of hope, but it also underscores the urgent need to expand our reach. We are currently treating 33% of children born with clubfoot in India. However, our ambitious RunFree2030 initiative is focused on scaling up our efforts to reach 70% of these children in the next five years. Achieving this monumental task relies heavily on the kind of specialized training delivered by experts like Dr. Gupta and Dr. Vikash Gupta. We invite the public, medical professionals, and donors to partner with us. Your support fuels these essential training programs and the expansion of the clinical infrastructure needed to support the thousands of families still awaiting treatment. Whether through a financial donation or dedicating your time to volunteer, your commitment will help us turn this vision into reality.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the faculties for their dedication and expertise, which greatly enriched the learning experience, and to the organizing team and staff of Government Medical College, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, for their seamless support.
