Inspiring the Next Generation: CURE India at the NSS Oath Ceremony, Maitreyi College

At CURE India, we firmly believe that empowering the youth is essential to accelerating the end of clubfoot disability in India. We recently had the privilege of being part of the NSS Oath Ceremony at Maitreyi College, Delhi University, a significant platform that unites young minds for service and positive social impact. Our Director shared crucial information about the vital work we do in transforming the lives of children born with clubfoot and emphasized the profound importance of timely treatment. This session served as a powerful reminder that the commitment of young leaders is a catalyst for the large-scale change required for a Clubfoot-Free India.

Engaging the students and faculty was not just an opportunity to spread Delhi University Clubfoot Awareness; it was an investment in the next generation of advocates, medical professionals, and compassionate citizens. The students of Maitreyi College represent a key demographic that can champion early detection and guide countless families toward our life-changing services. They learned how the simple, non-surgical Ponseti method is the global gold standard for free treatment and how crucial it is to start this intervention within the first few weeks of a child's life. We are truly grateful to the Principal, faculty, and enthusiastic students for the warm welcome and for giving us this platform to foster a culture of service and compassion among the youth, reinforcing the spirit of YouthForChange.

This initiative is a seamless extension of our mission to ensure universal access to care. As the largest clubfoot program in the world, we have treated the most number of clubfoot children, and our success is built on a foundation of trust. We are honoured to be recognized as one of the Top 10 NGOs/Non-Profits in India, a distinction that highlights our unwavering credibility and our profound commitment to the transparency of fund usage. Every awareness session, like the one at Maitreyi College, reinforces this trust and demonstrates how your support is directly translated into transformative social impact. Our national presence with 452 clinics is sustained by this ethical stewardship and the conviction that no child should suffer from a treatable disability.

Our work is driven by an urgent and inspiring vision for the future. We are currently treating 33% of children born with clubfoot in India. However, our ambitious RunFree2030 initiative is focused on scaling up our efforts to reach 70% of these children in the next five years. This rapid expansion requires the mobilization of the very audience we addressed at Delhi University. The youth are the key to expanding our awareness campaigns and finding the children who need our help the most. We are building a future where every child can walk, run, and dream without limits. We invite every student and faculty member inspired by this session to join us. Your support is crucial to making this vision a reality—whether through a generous donation or by dedicating your time to volunteer with our team.

Together, let’s continue creating a future where every child can walk, run, and dream without limits.
