Igniting the Future: Farewell to Our Inspiring BSW Interns from Christ College, Kerala

On September 29, 2025, CURE India bid a heartfelt farewell to a truly exceptional group of seven young professionals, including four interns dedicated to our mission and three supporting our partners at WePlant. These final-year BSW students from Christ College, Kerala, completed their month-long internship journey, bringing immense value through their youthful energy, deep compassion, and professional dedication. Their time with us has been truly fruitful and inspiring, proving that the next generation is ready to be the architects of a better world.

The contributions of our interns through the Kerala Internship Program were vital, particularly in areas requiring social insight and human connection. As students of social work, they excelled at parent counselling, community outreach, and ground-level ClubfootAwareness. They bridged the gap between the medical clinic and the anxious families, helping parents understand the non-surgical Ponseti method and ensuring their long-term commitment to the free treatment protocol. Their hands-on experience in Thrissur and surrounding areas not only broadened our reach but also instilled in them the practical skills necessary to become powerful FutureChangemakers. Their commitment reminds us that even a single month can spark real transformation.

This focus on nurturing young talent is integral to the massive social impact of our mission. As the largest clubfoot program in the world, having treated the most number of clubfoot children, our success relies not just on surgical expertise, but on the tireless efforts of individuals in the field. We are honored to be recognized as one of the Top 10 NGOs/Non-Profits in India, a distinction earned through our unwavering credibility and the complete transparency of fund usage. The enthusiasm of the outgoing BSW interns strengthens our belief that these structured InternshipOpportunity programs are essential for sustaining our national presence and injecting new energy into our mission across India.

However, the need to expand our reach remains urgent. We are currently treating 33% of children born with clubfoot in India. Our ambitious RunFree2030 initiative is focused on scaling up our efforts to reach 70% of these children in the next five years. Achieving this goal requires a constantly expanding force of dedicated volunteers and interns to provide the crucial link between awareness and intervention. We invite more students and friends to join us. Your time and energy are invaluable in helping us identify children early and support their families throughout the treatment journey. Furthermore, every donation helps us provide the infrastructure, resources, and mentorship necessary to support these FutureChangemakers on their path to service.

We shared heartfelt feedback and a warm farewell, celebrating the meaningful impact they’ve made. A huge thank you to the interns from Christ College, Irinjalakuda, for being an unforgettable part of our mission to bring hope and healing.

👉 Looking to make a difference too? We warmly invite more students and friends to join us as interns and volunteers at CURE India. Learn, serve, and help us create a world where no child’s future is limited by clubfoot.
