Igniting Hope in Mandla: CURE India’s School Awareness Drive Champions Early Clubfoot Intervention

The journey toward a nation where every child can walk with confidence and dignity is paved by knowledge and community action. CURE India took a vital step in Mandla, Madhya Pradesh, with a successful Clubfoot Awareness drive at Primary School, Shanti Nagar. Our team, with the crucial support of Principal Ms. Sarita Pandey, engaged directly with teachers and students to share vital information about clubfoot, a treatable congenital condition that demands EarlyIntervention. This campaign is a powerful example of how PublicHealth education at the local level can transform lives.

Unveiling the Power of the Ponseti Method

The core of our message in Mandla was to eliminate the pervasive unawareness surrounding clubfoot treatment. Many in the community are still unaware that children born with clubfoot can walk and run normally with proper care. Our session clearly explained that this is achievable through the Ponseti method, a simple, non-surgical approach that transforms lives. By educating teachers and students, we transform them into frontline advocates, capable of recognizing the condition and ensuring immediate referral for free treatment. This proactive approach is essential for our mission, ensuring that no child is left behind due to a lack of awareness and information.

Credibility, Urgency, and the Call for Collaboration

This targeted outreach in Madhya Pradesh is a key pillar of our operational strategy and reflects the depth of our social impact.

  • Global Recognition: CURE India is globally recognized as the largest clubfoot program in the world, having treated the most number of clubfoot children using the effective Ponseti method. This proven success is why we are honored to be recognized as one of the Top 10 NGOs/Non-Profits in India.
  • Ethical Stewardship: Our commitment to the complete transparency of fund usage assures our donors that every donation supports essential awareness missions and the provision of free treatment across our massive national presence.
  • The Urgent Call to Action: Despite this effort, the need to scale our operations is urgent. We are currently treating 33% of children born with clubfoot in India. Our ambitious RunFree2030 initiative is focused on scaling up our efforts to reach 70% of these children in the next five years. This aggressive goal demands a sustained increase in ClubfootAwareness campaigns across schools and communities nationwide.

Every conversation brings us one step closer to a future where every child walks with confidence and dignity. We invite the general public, medical professionals, and donors to partner with us. Your support ensures that every community receives the vital information needed to heal little feet. TogetherWeCan continue creating powerful ImpactStories.
