Empowering Tribal Communities: CURE India Participates in All India NGO Meet in Bhopal

On the momentous occasion of the 150th Birth Anniversary of Bhagwan Birsa Munda—celebrated as Janjatiya Gaurav Varsh—CURE India was proud to participate in a crucial national dialogue. The Ministry of Tribal Affairs organized the All India NGO Meet in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, a Conclave focused on Empowering Tribals through Participatory Action with NGOs and Voluntary Organizations.
CURE India’s commitment to building inclusive, accessible, and compassionate healthcare was powerfully represented by Ms. Bossy Varghese (DPC, Madhya Pradesh). During an engaging session moderated by Dr. Saloni Sidana, MD, NHM GoMP, Ms. Varghese shared valuable, firsthand insights on overcoming healthcare barriers in tribal regions. Addressing the unique challenges faced by tribal families in accessing specialized medical care is essential to achieving true national health equity.
This participation reinforces CURE India’s expansive national presence and our deep commitment to social impact beyond just treating clubfoot. Our work is aligned with the vision of Tribal Empowerment and Healthcare for All, ensuring that remote communities benefit from our expertise in early identification, referral, and free treatment through the Ponseti method.
As the largest clubfoot program in the world, having treated the most number of clubfoot children, we understand that our mission requires us to engage with all segments of society, especially those who are marginalized. Our credibility as one of the Top 10 NGO's in the country is strengthened by our participation in critical government-led initiatives and our steadfast transparency of fund usage.
We are dedicated to moving closer to our ambitious RunFree2030 vision: scaling our efforts to treat 70% of children born with clubfoot in the next 5 years. Together, we can continue to work towards a healthier and more inclusive India for every child and community.
Join us in honouring this legacy by supporting our on-the-ground work in tribal regions. You can help by making a donation or becoming a volunteer today at cure.org.in/donate.
