Igniting Purpose: CURE India’s Orientation Session for Udayan Shalini Fellows Marks the Start of a Meaningful Social Impact Journey

The future of compassionate social leadership took a definitive step forward on November 14, 2025, as CURE India conducted a meaningful and interactive orientation session for the Udayan Shalini Fellowship (USF) interns. This session, led by our National Team and Director, Dr. Santhosh George, officially welcomed the next generation of changemakers into our mission.
The orientation introduced the Shalinis to CURE India’s core mission, values, and the life-changing work we do for children with disabilities—specifically focusing on correcting clubfoot—across the country. This included an overview of the non-surgical Ponseti method and the holistic support provided to families who receive free treatment through our program.
The interns demonstrated great curiosity, enthusiasm, and genuine interest in contributing to this noble cause. This level of engagement was truly inspiring, underscoring the potential for these young women to drive significant social impact in their communities. This orientation marks the beginning of a purposeful journey of learning, service, and youth leadership.
This partnership with Udayan Care’s USF is a vital component of CURE India’s commitment to empowering communities and building sustainable capacity. As the largest clubfoot program in the world, having treated the most number of clubfoot children, our success depends on fostering new talent. Our credibility as one of the Top 10 NGO's in the country is strengthened by these collaborations and our unwavering transparency of fund usage.
We look forward to empowering these young leaders and working together to shape brighter futures. This initiative will contribute significantly to our RunFree2030 vision: scaling our efforts to reach 70% of children born with clubfoot in the next 5 years.
