Connecting Families to Care: How Delhi’s Frontline Workers Are Becoming Champions for Clubfoot Awareness.

Could one simple referral help change a child’s future? Absolutely. In urban and semi-urban communities alike, bridging the gap between a family in need and specialized medical care often begins with a single conversation.
Continuing our relentless push to bring clubfoot awareness to the grassroots level, our Delhi state team—led by State Program Coordinator (SPC) Ms. Rekha Singh and District Program Coordinator (DPC) Ms. Sushma—conducted a series of targeted awareness visits across Anganwadi Centres in Palam and Dasrath Puri, New Delhi.
Anganwadi Workers (AWWs) are the absolute frontline of community welfare and child health in India. Positioned directly within neighborhoods, they are uniquely placed to spot developmental conditions during early childhood check-ins.
During these interactive sessions, Ms. Singh and Ms. Sushma focused on equipping AWWs with essential knowledge:
We extend our sincere thanks to the Anganwadi Workers of Palam and Dasrath Puri for their warm cooperation, enthusiasm, and ongoing dedication to child health. Special appreciation goes to Ms. Rekha Singh and Ms. Sushma for their tireless field efforts in strengthening community-level referral pathways right here in the capital.
As one of the Top 10 NGO’s in India, CURE India manages the largest clubfoot program in the world. Our grassroots outreach is underpinned by absolute transparency of fund usage and institutional credibility, ensuring that every community initiative scales our progress toward our ultimate national goal: treating 70% of all children born with clubfoot in India by 2030 (#RunFree2030).
"Together, we can work towards a Clubfoot-Free India!"
Grassroots outreach plants the seed of awareness, but community support ensures it grows.
Together, we are ensuring that no child in India faces clubfoot alone.
