Government and Community Unite for a Clubfoot-Free India in Parbhani

At CURE India, our mission to heal little feet and transform lives is often propelled by the power of strategic partnerships. We were deeply honored to present our vital work to over 650 ASHA (Accredited Social Health Activist) workers at the Parbhani District Meeting in Maharashtra. The event was graced by the presence of Health Minister Smt. Meghna Bordikar and other key district leaders, a powerful symbol of government support for our cause.

During the meeting, we shared how children born with clubfoot in the region are receiving free, timely treatment right here in Parbhani. The response was truly overwhelming. It was a moment of profound inspiration when the Health Minister personally acknowledged our work, clicked a photo with our dedicated team, and publicly reaffirmed her support for our mission. Her endorsement strengthens our resolve and highlights the growing recognition of clubfoot as a major public health issue that requires collective action.

The ASHA workers, our frontline heroes, are the backbone of our outreach efforts. Their participation and enthusiasm are crucial for the early identification and referral of children with clubfoot in their respective villages. By empowering these community healthcare professionals, we ensure that our message of hope reaches every parent, every village, and every child.

CURE India is the largest clubfoot program in the world, a position we have earned through our tireless efforts and a robust national presence. We have treated the most number of clubfoot children globally, making a significant social impact. We are proud to be recognized as one of the Top 10 NGOs/Non-Profits in India, a testament to our steadfast credibility and our profound commitment to transparency of fund usage. Your generous donation is the engine that powers these vital outreach efforts and ensures we can continue to provide free treatment to all who need it.

We are currently treating 33% of children born with clubfoot in India. However, our ambitious RunFree2030 initiative is focused on scaling up our efforts to reach 70% of these children in the next five years. Moments like this in Parbhani inspire us to redouble our efforts, knowing that with government and community support, we will not stop until India is truly clubfoot-free.
