A Landmark for Mobility in Churu: Bridging the Healthcare Gap through Partnership, Innovation, and Compassion

On April 3, 2026, the medical landscape of Rajasthan witnessed a transformative milestone. CURE India, in its unwavering mission to eradicate disability caused by untreated clubfoot, successfully inaugurated a new Clubfoot Clinic at the Churu D.B. General District Hospital. This launch is not merely an addition to our clinical network; it is a vital lifeline for families in the Churu region, ensuring that every child born with this condition has an immediate, local pathway to a life of dignity and independence.
Lead by our dedicated team member, Mr. Subhasish Garain, and the tireless Rajasthan team, this new facility significantly strengthens access to early diagnosis. For a child born with clubfoot, time is the most critical factor. By bringing world-class treatment to the doorsteps of the community, we are ensuring that no child has to wait for the care they deserve.
The inauguration was a powerful demonstration of what can be achieved when the government and the social sector align their visions. We were deeply honoured by the presence of the Principal of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay (PDU) Medical College, along with Dr. Pradeep (Head of the Orthopaedic Department), Dr. Omveer, and Dr. B.L. Chopra.
Their support, alongside the participation of unit heads and local media representatives, underscores the credibility that CURE India has built over years of dedicated service. This partnership with the Churu D.B. General District Hospital is a cornerstone of our national presence, allowing us to integrate life-changing medical interventions into the existing public health infrastructure.
For the medical professions and the general public supporting our cause, it is essential to highlight the science behind the smile. At the Churu clinic, we exclusively practice the Ponseti method—the globally recognized, non-surgical gold standard for clubfoot treatment.
This method is remarkably effective, involving:
Because CURE India is committed to total accessibility, we provide Free Treatment and the necessary FAB braces at no cost to the parents. By removing the financial barrier, we ensure that a child's ability to walk is never a question of their family's income.

CURE India is proud to be recognised to be the Top 10 NGO's/Non-Profits in India/in the country. This distinction is a direct result of our commitment to transparency of fund usage and measurable social impact. As the largest clubfoot program in the world, we have achieved the distinction of having treated the most number of clubfoot children globally.
For our donors, your Donation is more than just a financial contribution; it is a sacred trust. Our rigorous clinical oversight and partnership with government hospitals across Rajasthan ensure that every rupee is directed toward the medical supplies, training, and specialized braces required to change a child's life forever.
Our work in Churu is a critical piece of a much larger puzzle: the RunFree2030 mission. Currently, CURE India is treating 33% of all children born with clubfoot in India. While this is a landmark achievement, we are acutely aware that thousands of children are still waiting. We are aggressively scaling up to reach 70% of children born with clubfoot in the next 5 years.
Expansion into districts like Churu is how we move the needle. By decentralizing care and strengthening our provincial teams, we are ensuring that by 2030, untreated clubfoot becomes a relic of the past in India.
The opening of the Churu clinic is a call to action. We cannot reach our 70% target without the collective support of the general public and compassionate donors.
Together, with the support of the medical staff at Churu D.B. General District Hospital and our committed donors, we are ensuring that every child in Rajasthan can walk confidently into a brighter, more mobile future.
Together, we make hope walk.
