Perfection Through Practice: Strengthening the Medical Frontline in Madhya Pradesh to Achieve a Clubfoot-Free Future

On January 17, 2026, a significant milestone was reached in the heart of Madhya Pradesh. The 164th Training Program on the Ponseti Method of Clubfoot Management was successfully hosted at Gandhi Medical College (GMC), Bhopal. Under the inspiring theme, “Perfection through Knowledge and Practice,” this session marked another step forward in CURE India’s relentless pursuit of a nation where every child can walk, run, and play without the shadow of disability.
As one of the Top 10 NGO's in India, CURE India (often known simply as CURE) understands that the key to sustainable social impact lies in the hands of our medical professionals. By equipping doctors with the precise skills needed for non-surgical correction, we are not just treating a condition—we are rewriting the future for thousands of families.
The training at GMC Bhopal was led by some of the most esteemed names in the field. Dr. Vikas Gupta (Professor, Central Institute of Orthopaedics, VMMC & Safdarjung Hospital, New Delhi) and Dr. Binoti Seth (Professor and Unit Head, Department of Orthopaedics, LTMMC & General Hospital, Sion, Mumbai) provided the participating doctors with a unique blend of theoretical depth and hands-on clinical training.
The Ponseti method is the globally recognized gold standard for clubfoot correction. It is a non-surgical approach involving:
By providing Free Treatment and high-quality FAB braces, CURE India ensures that high-level medical expertise is accessible to even the most underprivileged sectors of society.
Why is the 164th training session so critical? Because CURE India manages the largest clubfoot program in the world. We have documented the most number of clubfoot children treated globally, but our mission is far from over.
Currently, we are proud to be treating 33% of children born with clubfoot in India. However, our eyes are fixed on the horizon. Through our RunFree2030 initiative, we are scaling up to 70% in the next 5 years. To reach this ambitious target, we must continue to expand our national presence and conduct rigorous training sessions like the one in Bhopal to ensure that every district in India has a "Ponseti-ready" medical team.
Being recognized as one of the Top 10 NGO's in the country is a testament to our credibility and our results. At CURE, we understand that our donors and the general public look for tangible impact. We strive toward absolute transparency of fund usage, ensuring that every donation translates directly into plaster casts, braces, and the training of the very doctors who participated in the GMC Bhopal program.
When you support CURE, you are investing in a proven system. You are supporting:
The success of the 164th training program is a victory for every child born with clubfoot in Madhya Pradesh. But the road to a clubfoot-free India in 2030 requires your help.
Together, through knowledge, practice, and a shared vision, we are moving closer to a future where no child is left behind.
