Building Brighter Futures: Bhopal Clubfoot Awareness Session Focuses on Early Detection in Schools

At CURE India, we firmly believe that the key to achieving a Clubfoot-Free India lies in empowering every segment of the community, especially our educational institutions. Recently, our dedicated team in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, conducted a vital session on clubfoot awareness at a local school. With the invaluable support of the teachers and the school principal, this event became a powerful step towards safeguarding the future mobility of children in the region.
The special session saw enthusiastic engagement from both students and staff. They learned not only what clubfoot is but, more importantly, how early detection and timely treatment using the Ponseti method can completely transform young lives. Teachers and school staff are often key community figures who can identify potential cases early on, making them essential partners in our mission. By equipping them with this critical knowledge, we are extending our reach into families and communities, ensuring that children born with clubfoot are quickly guided to one of our CURE Clinics for free treatment. We are truly grateful for their support in spreading awareness and helping us move closer to a future where every child walks with confidence.
This Bhopal Clubfoot Awareness campaign is a perfect example of our grassroots strategy. As the largest clubfoot program in the world, we have treated the most number of clubfoot children, and our success is built on the foundation of credibility and transparency. Our work's immense social impact is made possible by our dedicated partners and donors.
We are honored to be recognized as one of the Top 10 NGOs/Non-Profits in India, a distinction that speaks volumes about our commitment to the transparency of fund usage. Every rupee of your generous donation goes directly toward supporting these essential awareness programs, training our medical professionals, and providing comprehensive care at our clinics across our expansive national presence. When you contribute, you are directly investing in a child's right to walk and play, ensuring they are not held back by a preventable disability.
Our work is driven by an urgent and inspiring vision. We are currently treating 33% of children born with clubfoot in India. However, our ambitious RunFree2030 initiative is focused on scaling up our efforts to reach 70% of these children in the next five years. This rapid scaling is only possible through sustained awareness and the expansion of our network.
We are building a future where every child can step into their destiny without disability. Your support is crucial to making this vision a reality. We invite you to be part of this transformative mission—whether through a generous contribution or by dedicating your time to volunteer with our team in Bhopal or elsewhere. Together, we can eradicate clubfoot disability and create a healthier, more inclusive India.
