Empowering Local Heroes: CURE India Conducts Outreach Session with Health Workers in Chhotaudepur

At CURE India, we recognize that the greatest champions of change are often the dedicated frontline health workers in our local communities. This vital partnership was recently reinforced in Gujarat, where our CURE India team, alongside DPC Ms. Rekhaben Shyamubhai Rathva, conducted a focused outreach session at the Panjarapal Sub-centre in Chhotaudepur.

The session's core aim was to strengthen awareness about clubfoot and empower local health workers with the essential knowledge and tools for intervention. The engagement saw enthusiastic participation from 4 ASHA Workers, 2 MPHWs (Multi-Purpose Health Workers), and 1 Medical Officer (MO)—a crucial collective of professionals who hold the key to early detection in the community.

Together, they engaged in critical discussions focused on:

  • Early identification of clubfoot in newborns and infants.
  • The paramount importance of timely referrals to CURE India partner clinics.
  • The critical role each frontline worker plays in supporting affected children and their families throughout the journey.

This local collaboration is essential to CURE India’s massive social impact and national reach. By ensuring these key local figures are fully informed, we guarantee that the life-changing, non-surgical Ponseti method, provided free treatment through our program, reaches every child.

As the largest clubfoot program in the world, having treated the most number of clubfoot children, our efforts are concentrated on building stronger, more informed communities. Our credibility as one of the Top 10 NGO's in the country is validated by our tireless work at the grassroots level and our commitment to the transparency of fund usage.

Every such visit reinforces our mission. We are dedicated to our ambitious RunFree2030 vision: scaling our efforts to treat 70% of children born with clubfoot in the next 5 years. Through awareness, collaboration, and the compassion supported by your donation, we move closer to a future where every child can walk, run, and dream freely.

Join us in making every step matter. You can support this life-changing community outreach by making a donation or becoming a volunteer today at cure.org.in/donate.
