Empowering Healthcare Professionals: CURE India's Strategic Training Session in Patna

At CURE India, we believe that empowering the next generation of healthcare professionals is key to building a Clubfoot-Free India. Our unwavering commitment to this vision was on full display on August 26, 2025, at PMCH in Patna, Bihar, where we conducted a crucial Patna Clubfoot Training session for Postgraduate doctors. This event, led by the distinguished Dr. Kumar Shashikant, was an opportunity to share knowledge and inspire future medical leaders to join our mission.
The session, focused on CTEV (Clubfoot), was designed to strengthen clinical understanding and provide the future of medicine with the skills to provide the best possible care for children born with this condition. By equipping them with an in-depth understanding of the Ponseti method, the globally accepted non-surgical treatment, we are ensuring that the gold standard of care becomes the norm across the country. This proactive approach to capacity building is vital to our long-term success, as it establishes a foundation of expertise that will serve communities for years to come. This is more than just a training; it is a collaborative effort to ensure that no child is left behind because of a treatable disability.
This training in Patna is a cornerstone of our strategic efforts for a sustainable, nationwide impact. As the largest clubfoot program in the world, we have treated the most number of clubfoot children, and our robust national presence with 452 clinics is a testament to our reach. Our work is not possible without the support of our incredible community of donors.
We are honored to be recognized as one of the Top 10 NGOs/Non-Profits in India, a distinction that speaks volumes about our credibility and our profound commitment to the transparency of fund usage. Your generous donation is the engine that powers these vital training sessions, allowing us to provide free treatment to children and their families who need it most. By investing in the education of doctors, you are investing in a future where every child can walk, run, and thrive.
Our work is driven by an urgent and inspiring vision for the future. We are currently treating 33% of children born with clubfoot in India. However, our ambitious RunFree2030 initiative is focused on scaling up our efforts to reach 70% of these children in the next five years. This is an urgent and hopeful goal that we can only achieve with your partnership. By empowering doctors and building a stronger network of care, we are ensuring that every child has the chance to walk with confidence and dignity.
This is not just a mission; it is a promise to the next generation. Together, we can eradicate clubfoot disability and create a healthier, more inclusive India for everyone.
