Empowering Doctors in Kerala: CURE India's 153rd Clubfoot Training Strengthens Care Network

On August 29, 2025, CURE India achieved a significant milestone in our mission to eradicate clubfoot disability by successfully concluding the 153rd Training on the Ponseti Method of Clubfoot Management. Held at the Government Medical College in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, this impactful workshop was a proud collaboration with the Department of Orthopaedics, aimed at strengthening the skills of doctors and healthcare professionals in treating CTEV (Clubfoot).

This training session was a testament to our commitment to building a robust and knowledgeable network of experts across the country. The sessions were led by the esteemed Dr. Mathew Varghese, Founder Trustee of CURE India, alongside Dr. Manoj and Dr. Mahesh. Their valuable expertise and insights were crucial in equipping participants with the most effective, non-surgical techniques for clubfoot management. By providing this hands-on training, we are ensuring that the gold standard of care becomes the norm throughout Kerala and beyond, making life-changing free treatment accessible to every child who needs it. This collective effort brings us one step closer to our goal of a Clubfoot-Free India.

A Credible Mission Powered by Partnerships and Hope

This training in Kerala is a vital component of our strategic efforts for a sustainable, nationwide impact. As the largest clubfoot program in the world, we have treated the most number of clubfoot children, and our robust national presence with 452 clinics is a testament to our reach. Our work is not possible without the support of our incredible community of donors and our dedicated partners.

We are honored to be recognized as one of the Top 10 NGOs/Non-Profits in India, a distinction that speaks volumes about our credibility and our profound commitment to the transparency of fund usage. Your generous donation is the engine that powers these vital training sessions, our clinics, and our outreach programs, allowing us to provide life-changing care completely free of charge. By investing in the education of doctors, you are investing in a future where every child can walk, run, and thrive.

Our Journey Towards a Brighter Future with RunFree2030

Our work is driven by an urgent and inspiring vision. We are currently treating 33% of children born with clubfoot in India. However, our ambitious RunFree2030 initiative is focused on scaling up our efforts to reach 70% of these children in the next five years. These training programs are absolutely crucial to achieving this goal. They help us expand our network of skilled professionals, ensuring that we can reach more children, more effectively, and more quickly.

A heartfelt thank you goes out to all the participants, the children and families who inspire our mission, and our dedicated CURE India team whose commitment makes milestones like this possible. We are building a future where every child can walk with confidence and dignity. Your support is crucial to making a lasting difference.
