Awareness is the first step towards meaningful change. By taking healthcare information directly to communities, we can help families recognize conditions early and connect children with the care they need.
In Hazaribagh, Jharkhand, our dedicated District Program Coordinator (DPC), Ms. Bahalen Tirkey from HMCH Hazaribagh, continues to make a meaningful difference through her unwavering commitment to community outreach and awareness.
As part of her ongoing efforts, Ms. Bahalen conducted important outreach and awareness sessions at a local Maternity Centre and an Anganwadi Centre in Hazaribagh. The sessions brought her into direct interaction with healthcare workers, expectant mothers, and frontline staff, creating valuable opportunities to share information and strengthen awareness about clubfoot.
Engaging with healthcare and frontline workers at the community level is essential for strengthening early identification of clubfoot. When families and healthcare workers have the right information, children born with clubfoot can be identified sooner and referred for timely and appropriate treatment.
Through regular outreach activities, dedicated field teams like Ms. Bahalen help build stronger connections between communities and healthcare services, ensuring that awareness reaches those who need it most.
Every awareness session has the potential to make a difference in a child's life. Every informed healthcare worker can help identify a child earlier. And every timely referral can bring a child closer to receiving quality care.
We extend our heartfelt appreciation to Ms. Bahalen Tirkey for her dedication, compassion, and continued efforts on the ground.
Thank you, Ms. Bahalen, for being a bridge between hope and healing in our communities and for helping create a future where every child with clubfoot has the opportunity to receive timely care. 💙
