CURE India, in collaboration with Elixir Foundation, organized a comprehensive Clubfoot Awareness Camp in Narolgam, Ahmedabad district, spanning two impactful days on the 6th and 7th of October 2022.
Day 1: Awareness Campaign 📢
The first day saw an extensive awareness campaign conducted in and around the Narolgam area. This proactive initiative aimed to spread awareness about clubfoot, its early intervention, and the transformative possibilities offered by timely treatment.
Day 2: Clubfoot Camp & Counselling Session 🩹
On the second day, CURE India conducted a dedicated Clubfoot Camp, bringing together the expertise of RBSK doctors, CURE India staff, and dedicated volunteers from Elixir Foundation. During this day-long event, 25 clubfoot children underwent thorough examinations by the doctor.
👥 Counselling for Parents and Caregivers:
In addition to medical examinations, a crucial counselling session was conducted for parents and caregivers. This served as an invaluable opportunity to provide support, guidance, and information about the journey ahead in treating clubfoot.
🤝 Community Participation and Support:
The active participation of the RBSK doctor, CURE India staff, and Elixir Foundation volunteers exemplifies the strength of community collaborations. Together, we strive to create a network of support for children with clubfoot and their families.
