A New Milestone for Mobility: CURE India Hosts 147th Ponseti Method Training in Delhi

At CURE India, our commitment to a Clubfoot-Free India is powered by a dual approach: providing direct, life-changing treatment and empowering the medical community with the knowledge to make a difference. We are proud to announce a significant milestone in this mission: the successful hosting of our 147th Training on the Ponseti Method for Clubfoot Management. This landmark event, held on May 29, 2025, at the Pt. Deendayal Upadhyaya National Institute for Persons with Physical Disabilities, reinforces our dedication to capacity building and widespread impact.
The training was led by the esteemed Dr. Mathew Varghese, Founder Trustee of CURE India, whose expertise has been instrumental in shaping our programs. His guidance ensures that a growing number of doctors are equipped to correctly apply the Ponseti method, the gold standard for non-surgical clubfoot treatment. This method is the key to transforming a child's life, allowing them to walk, run, and live without the pain or shame of untreated clubfoot. This training is a crucial part of our efforts to build a future free from disability.
CURE India is the largest clubfoot program in the world, a position we've earned through relentless effort and a robust national presence. We have treated the most number of clubfoot children, and our 452 clinics across the country are a testament to our reach. Our mission goes beyond treatment; it's about building a sustainable ecosystem of care. By consistently training medical professionals, we ensure that the knowledge and skills needed to treat clubfoot are available across India, even in remote areas.
As one of the Top 10 NGOs/Non-Profits in India, our credibility is built on a foundation of transparency of fund usage and a profound social impact. Every donation we receive directly contributes to providing free treatment to children and supports vital training programs like this one. We believe that no child should be left behind, and our commitment to free treatment is unwavering.
We are currently treating 33% of children born with clubfoot in India. However, our ambitious RunFree2030 initiative aims to scale up our efforts to reach 70% of these children in the next five years. This is an urgent and hopeful vision, and it can only be achieved with your partnership. The training we conduct empowers the next generation of doctors to join us in this mission.
Join us in our journey to create a more inclusive world. Your support can help heal little feet and empower a future where every child can walk with confidence.
