Spreading Hope in the Classroom: CURE India's Awareness Session at Samta Vidya Mandir

At CURE India, we believe that education is a powerful tool for change. Our mission to create a Clubfoot-Free India is not just about providing treatment; it's about raising awareness and empowering communities to act. This belief was at the heart of our recent school visit on August 13, 2025, where our dedicated team conducted an awareness session at Samta Vidya Mandir Primary & High School in Phulambri, Maharashtra.
The session, led by our Aurangabad Region DPC, Ms. Vaishali Bhosle, was designed to educate both students and teachers about clubfoot awareness, early detection, and the life-changing free treatment available. The event saw an impressive turnout, with 206 participants in total, including 202 students and 5 staff members (teachers and the principal). Through engaging discussions and visual aids, our team helped these young minds understand the importance of timely medical intervention and how their knowledge can lead to a child receiving the care they need.
These initiatives are crucial for building a strong foundation of awareness from the ground up. By working directly with schools, CURE India is empowering the next generation to become advocates for health and inclusivity. This proactive approach ensures that more children are identified early and can begin their journey toward healing with the gentle, non-surgical Ponseti method.
CURE India is proud to be recognized as one of the Top 10 NGOs/Non-Profits in India. This distinction is a testament to our steadfast credibility and our profound commitment to transparency of fund usage. Your generous donation is what makes these vital school awareness programs possible, allowing us to reach more communities and spread our message of hope. As the largest clubfoot program in the world, we have treated the most number of clubfoot children, and our robust national presence with 452 clinics is a testament to our reach.
We are currently treating 33% of children born with clubfoot in India. However, our ambitious RunFree2030 initiative is focused on scaling up our efforts to reach 70% of these children in the next five years. We can only achieve this with the collective support of compassionate individuals like you.
