Day 2: Program Management Refresher — Empowering Our Frontline Champions

Strengthening Counselling, Leadership, and Operational Excellence in Clubfoot Care

Effective program management begins with empowered teams. On Day 2 of the Program Management Refresher, dedicated team members from Chhattisgarh and Jammu & Kashmir came together for an insightful learning session focused on strengthening their skills, improving coordination, and enhancing the quality of care provided to children with clubfoot.

The session was led by Ms. Atula Jamir, Program Manager at CURE India, who highlighted the vital role of counsellors in clubfoot clinics and their contribution to supporting children and their families throughout the treatment journey.

Strengthening the Role of Counsellors

Counsellors play an essential role in ensuring that families understand the treatment process and remain motivated throughout their child's journey. The session emphasized key responsibilities, including guiding families through treatment, encouraging consistent brace compliance, and providing emotional support at every stage.

By building trust with families and addressing their concerns with empathy, counsellors help strengthen treatment adherence and encourage continuity of care.

Building Knowledge Across Key Functions

The refresher also included sessions on important operational areas to strengthen the team's overall effectiveness.

  • HR Policies and Benefits: Ms. Shaila led a session to help team members understand relevant human resource policies and employee benefits.
  • Financial Management: Mr. Gaurav conducted a session focused on financial management and related processes.
  • WE10 Application: The day concluded with a session led by national team member Mr. Andrew, introducing and discussing the WE10 application.

These sessions provided an opportunity for team members to strengthen their understanding of essential program processes and improve coordination across their respective responsibilities.

Empowering Teams to Deliver Better Care

Continuous learning and collaboration help frontline teams work more effectively and respond to families' needs with greater confidence. By strengthening counselling practices, operational knowledge, and application-related skills, CURE India continues to support its teams in delivering quality clubfoot care.

When counsellors lead with empathy, families feel supported, treatment journeys become stronger, and children move closer to a healthier future. 💙
