Strengthening medical expertise and expanding access to effective clubfoot treatment through hands-on training.

On 31 October 2026, CURE India successfully conducted its 178th Medical Training on the Ponseti Method of Clubfoot Management at the Academy Building, NRS Medical College & Hospital, Kolkata.
The programme was graced by the Hon’ble Health Minister, Government of West Bengal; the Vice-Chancellor of the West Bengal University of Health Sciences; the Principal and MSVP of NRS Medical College & Hospital; the Head of the Department of Orthopaedics; and other distinguished dignitaries and faculty members.
A total of 100 participants attended the programme and took part in an interactive, hands-on training session, gaining practical exposure to the Ponseti method of clubfoot management.
We extend our sincere gratitude to the National Health Mission for its support in making this training possible.
We are also deeply thankful to Dr. Mathew Varghese, Dr. Sukalyan Dey, Dr. A.K. Pal, Mr. Bruce Smith, and Dr. Atula Jamir for their constant encouragement and guidance.
Our heartfelt appreciation goes to the parents of our little warriors. Their children's treatment journeys are a powerful reminder that clubfoot is treatable and that timely intervention can make a meaningful difference in a child's life.
Every medical training programme helps strengthen the knowledge and skills of healthcare professionals, enabling more children to access appropriate clubfoot treatment.
With continued collaboration, medical education, and community awareness, CURE India remains committed to expanding access to quality clubfoot care across the country.
Treat clubfoot today, make clubfoot history!
Together, let us work towards a clubfoot-free future where every child has the opportunity to walk, play, and thrive.
