Strengthening Clinical Skills Through Ponseti Method Training

On 12 September 2026, three Refresher Training Programmes on the Ponseti Method of Clubfoot Management were successfully conducted simultaneously across Maharashtra, Delhi, and Haryana. Bringing together doctors and healthcare professionals from leading medical institutions, the programmes focused on strengthening clinical knowledge and skills for the early identification and timely treatment of clubfoot.
The training programmes witnessed enthusiastic participation from healthcare professionals representing AIIMS, Government Medical Colleges, Civil Hospitals, and partner institutions. Their commitment to improving access to effective clubfoot treatment reflects the collective effort needed to move closer to the vision of a Clubfoot Free India.
Strengthening Clubfoot Management Through the Ponseti Method
The Ponseti Method is a widely used approach for the non-surgical management of congenital clubfoot. Refresher training plays an important role in helping clinicians strengthen their practical knowledge and maintain high standards of treatment.
Through these programmes, participating doctors had the opportunity to enhance their understanding and clinical skills while learning from experienced faculty in clubfoot management.
Three States, One Shared Mission
Conducting three training programmes on a single day across Maharashtra, Delhi, and Haryana was made possible through the tireless coordination and dedication of the organizing teams in all three states.
Their efforts ensured that the programmes were conducted seamlessly, creating valuable opportunities for clinicians across different regions to strengthen their capacity to identify and treat clubfoot at the earliest possible stage.
Learning From Experienced Faculty
A special appreciation goes to the expert faculty across all three locations for generously sharing their knowledge, experience, and clinical expertise. Their contribution is helping strengthen the skills of the next generation of clinicians involved in clubfoot treatment.
Building a strong network of trained healthcare professionals is an important part of improving access to timely clubfoot care and ensuring that children affected by clubfoot can receive appropriate treatment.
A Shared Commitment to a Clubfoot-Free India
The success of these refresher training programmes reflects what can be achieved when healthcare professionals, organizing teams, expert faculty, and leaders come together around a shared public-health mission.
A heartfelt thank you goes to Dr. Santhosh George, Founder & Director, CURE India, for his vision, leadership, and continued commitment to advancing clubfoot care.
Together, these efforts bring us another step closer to the mission:
“Treat Clubfoot Today, Make Clubfoot History.”
With continued training, collaboration, and commitment, the goal of a Clubfoot Free India moves closer to reality.
