Championing Inclusion: CURE India Spreads Clubfoot Awareness at the Purple Fair in Sehore, MP

The mission toward a Clubfoot-Free India gained significant momentum at the Purple Fair in Sehore, Madhya Pradesh, an event organized by NIMHR. CURE India was proud to participate, leveraging this platform for inclusion and awareness to highlight our noble mission: ensuring that every child born with clubfoot receives timely and effective treatment.

Strategic Engagement for HealthcareForAll

Our presence at the Purple Fair was strategic, focused on educating both the community and key policymakers. Our dedicated team member, District Program Coordinator Ms. Bossy Varghese, spearheaded the effort, ensuring that the critical message of early detection and free treatment resonated with every visitor.

A major highlight was the opportunity to meet Shri Swadesh Rai, MLA Sehore. Ms. Varghese shared valuable insights about the completely free and effective treatment for clubfoot utilizing the gold-standard Ponseti Method. Engaging political leaders is vital for embedding Clubfoot Awareness into the state’s healthcare and social agenda, ensuring that our services are accessible to the most marginalized families in Madhya Pradesh. This direct advocacy reinforces our large-scale social impact.

Our Commitment: Credibility, Urgency, and Donation

This focused outreach exemplifies the core of CURE India’s work and our commitment to credibility. We are globally recognized as the largest clubfoot program in the world, having successfully treated the most number of clubfoot children. This record, which has earned us recognition as one of the Top 10 NGOs/Non-Profits in India, is a testament to the transparency of fund usage and the effectiveness of our specialized care.

Despite this success, the need for support remains urgent. We are currently treating 33% of children born with clubfoot in India. Our ambitious RunFree2030 initiative is focused on scaling up to 70% in the next 5 years. Achieving this requires constant mobilization of resources to support our dedicated DPCs and to sustain the provision of free treatment. EveryStepMatters, and every donation provides the hope for a child to walk, run, and dream freely.

We invite the general public, medical professionals, and donors to partner with us in making this vision a reality. Together, we’re working toward a clubfoot-free India.
