Championing Inclusion: CURE India Marks International Disability Day with Awareness Stall in Davangere

On the occasion of International Day of Persons with Disabilities on December 3, 2025, the CURE India team proudly set up a vital awareness stall in Davangere. This essential platform allowed us to effectively spread awareness about clubfoot—a fully treatable condition—and engage with a diverse community committed to child health and disability inclusion.

The event was a powerful display of community solidarity, marked by the presence of several esteemed visitors and partners:

  • Government Officials: District Employment Exchange Officer Ms. Gloria.
  • Corporate & Educational Leaders: Management teams from Vishal Mart, BS Channabasappa & Sons, RGS Group of Institutions (Davangere).
  • NGO Partners: Representatives from Dr. Reddy Foundation, Assist Techno Foundation, Enable India, and Vindhya Informedia (Bangalore).

Their visit and encouragement added immense value, underscoring the widespread commitment to disability awareness and inclusion for all.

Strengthening Partnerships for Timely Care

A special acknowledgement goes to DDWO Dr. K.K. Prakash, District Disability Welfare Officer, Davangere, for appreciating our efforts and significantly, for requested an awareness program at the District Hospital. This partnership with government health services is critical to ensuring our free treatment via the Ponseti method reaches every child in need. We also appreciate the support of Ms. Sharadha N, DPC – CRC Davangere.

This proactive outreach reinforces CURE India’s massive social impact and national commitment. As the largest clubfoot program in the world, having treated the most number of clubfoot children, our efforts are concentrated on making the curability of clubfoot universally known. Our credibility as one of the Top 10 NGO's in the country is validated by our tireless work and our commitment to transparency of fund usage.

We continue working urgently towards our ambitious RunFree2030 vision: scaling our efforts to treat 70% of children born with clubfoot in the next 5 years.

Together, we continue working towards ensuring that every child born with clubfoot receives timely treatment and a chance to walk into a brighter future. You can support this life-changing mission by making a donation or becoming a volunteer today at cure.org.in/donate.
