Celebrating Hope and Mobility: CURE India Marks World Clubfoot Day in Solapur

On June 2, 2025, a day dedicated to raising global awareness for a treatable condition, CURE India proudly marked World Clubfoot Day with an inspiring celebration at DEIC Solapur. The event was a powerful gathering of children, families, and dedicated healthcare professionals, all united by a shared vision of a Clubfoot-Free India.

The occasion was graced by distinguished guests, including Dr. Suhas Mane (Civil Surgeon), Dr. Aniket Deshmukh (Orthopaedic Surgeon), and other respected leaders. Their presence underscored the critical importance of collaborative efforts in public health. The event highlighted a core message that we champion every day at CURE India: the profound impact of early intervention and continued care in successfully treating clubfoot.

During the event, encouraging words were shared, celebrating the unwavering dedication of both parents and the medical teams who tirelessly work to heal little feet. A special note of thanks goes to Mr. Umesh Virkar for his skillful anchoring and to Mrs. Megha Gaikwad and Mr. Satish Wadkar for their compassionate leadership. It is through the hard work of such individuals that we can continue to make a tangible social impact and deliver our services to communities across the nation.

CURE India is a global leader in clubfoot treatment, operating the largest clubfoot program in the world. Our relentless efforts have allowed us to treat the most number of clubfoot children using the effective and gentle Ponseti method, which we provide completely free of cost. This commitment to accessible healthcare is made possible by our generous donors and is a key reason we are recognized as one of the Top 10 NGOs/Non-Profits in India. Our credibility and commitment to transparency of fund usage ensure that every donation goes directly to this life-changing work.

We are currently treating 33% of children born with clubfoot in India, but our vision is much larger. Through our ambitious RunFree2030 initiative, we are determined to scale up our efforts to reach 70% of these children in the next five years. Events like the World Clubfoot Day celebration in Solapur are not just about awareness; they are about building momentum and inspiring action toward this urgent and hopeful goal.

Together, we move one step closer to a Clubfoot-Free India. Your support can help turn a child’s dream of walking into a reality.
