Celebrating Freedom and Mobility: CURE India Marks India’s 80th Independence Day Across the Nation

🇮🇳 One Nation. One Spirit. One Celebration. 🇮🇳

“जहाँ तिरंगा शान से लहराए, वहाँ हर बच्चे के चेहरे पर मुस्कान खिल जाए। आज़ादी सिर्फ़ देश की नहीं— हर बच्चे के सपनों की भी होनी चाहिए।” ❤️🤍💚

From North to South, East to West, the vibrant spirit of India’s 80th Independence Day reached deep into our CURE India clinics across the country. Our clinics transformed into spaces of joy, bringing together children and families affected by clubfoot to celebrate freedom, pride, and the boundless potential of every young life. 👣

What Does Freedom Truly Mean for a Child?

Is freedom just the right to dream? Or is it the physical freedom to walk, run, play, and chase those dreams without the heavy burden of physical limitation?

At CURE India, we believe that true independence is incomplete unless every child has the freedom to walk toward their dreams unhindered. When a child takes their first corrected step using the Ponseti method, they aren't just overcoming a medical condition—they are claiming their right to a barrier-free future.

A Nationwide Wave of Hope

The tricolor flew high across our network as clinics from coast to coast united in celebration:

  • Pan-India Presence: Celebrations echoed across our clinics in Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, West Bengal, Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Jharkhand, Bihar, Delhi, Haryana, Jammu & Kashmir, Assam, and beyond.
  • Families United: Parents, medical staff, and local coordinators shared moments of immense pride, watching children who once faced the prospect of lifelong disability now standing tall, smiling, and stepping forward with confidence.

"This Independence Day, we celebrated not only a free India, but an India where every child is free to walk, play and dream. Because every step towards freedom begins with a step forward."

CURE India: Scaling Impact with Transparency

As one of the Top 10 NGO’s in India, CURE India manages the largest clubfoot program in the world. Our nationwide reach is built on absolute transparency of fund usage and rigorous institutional credibility, ensuring that every contribution directly supports the clinics, braces, and medical teams that make days like this possible.

We are marching steadily toward our national target: treating 70% of all children born with clubfoot in India by 2030 (#RunFree2030) to secure a truly Clubfoot-Free India.
