A Landmark Achievement: CURE India Concludes 150th Ponseti Training, Accelerating the Mission to End Clubfoot Disability

At CURE India, every step in a child's journey to a life of mobility is a milestone, and today, we are thrilled to celebrate our own: the successful conclusion of our 150th Training Workshop on the Ponseti Method of Clubfoot Management. This landmark event, held on August 21, 2025, at IGICH in Bangalore, marks a powerful moment in our mission to change how children with clubfoot are treated across the country.
This milestone workshop was led by an exceptional group of leaders and experts, including our Founder Trustee, Dr. Mathew Varghese, Hon. Regional Medical Director Dr. Rudra, POSI President and Chairperson of the Scientific Committee, Dr. Alaric Aroojis, and Dr. Kiran Rajappa from Apollo Cradle Hospital. Their collective expertise and unwavering dedication are the driving force behind this movement, empowering healthcare professionals to shift from surgical interventions to the gentle, globally accepted Ponseti method.
This commitment to training and capacity building is a cornerstone of our work. From our very first training to this 150th milestone, our journey has been about empowering medical professionals and ensuring that every child has access to expert, life-changing care. As the largest clubfoot program in the world, we have treated the most number of clubfoot children, and our success is a direct result of our robust training programs and expansive national presence with 452 clinics.
We are incredibly proud to be recognized as one of the Top 10 NGOs/Non-Profits in India. This distinction speaks to our steadfast credibility and our profound commitment to transparency of fund usage. Your generous donation is the engine that powers these vital training sessions and enables us to provide free treatment to every child who needs it. We are currently treating 33% of children born with clubfoot in India, but our ambitious RunFree2030 initiative is focused on scaling up our efforts to reach 70% of these children in the next five years.
The journey continues, with more trainings already on the horizon:
We are deeply grateful to every trainer, doctor, and supporter walking with us on this mission of healing and hope. Together, we continue to change lives—one step at a time, ensuring that every child can walk with confidence and dignity.
