After every cast, the following week on the same day, the cast is carefully removed by soaking the plaster in warm water. Parents are taught the art of unrolling the plaster by the counsellors. To easily unroll the casting the ends of plaster rolls are gathered and kept in such a way that the parents can identify them and remove them without any effort. The time between the removal of the old cast and the application of the new cast should not be more than 1 or 2 hours. So the new cast must be applied soon after removing the old cast.
