Building a Clubfoot-Free Generation: CURE India's Collaboration at the Karnataka District Medical Training

At CURE India, we understand that achieving a Clubfoot-Free India requires a strong, informed network of healthcare professionals at every level. Our mission recently gained significant momentum in Karnataka, where our team participated in the District Medical Training Programme held in Urwa Gram Panchayat, Dakshina Kannada. This event served as a powerful platform for collaboration, bringing together over 150 participants, including doctors from all 9 Taluks, along with DHO Dr. Sudarshan, the Resident Medical Officer, THOs, RBSK doctors, and PHC officers.

The magnitude of participation underscored the medical community's commitment to addressing clubfoot. Together with the RMO from Wenlock Hospital, our team delivered a detailed presentation, diving deep into the fundamentals of clubfoot, the efficacy of the Ponseti Method of treatment, and the critical role of our CURE Clinics in the referral and treatment pathway. These collective efforts with healthcare professionals at the grassroots level are crucial in driving early detection and ensuring that every child born with clubfoot can walk into a brighter future. Every such meeting strengthens our network, bringing us a step closer to creating a clubfoot-free generation across the state.

Our Credible Mission: Scaling Impact from the Grassroots

This focused Karnataka Clubfoot Training is a vital part of our strategic plan to make a profound social impact nationwide. As the largest clubfoot program in the world, we have treated the most number of clubfoot children, transforming countless lives and giving hope to thousands of families. Our work is built on the foundation of free treatment and is powered by a robust national presence with 452 clinics.

We are incredibly proud to be recognized as one of the Top 10 NGOs/Non-Profits in India, a distinction that speaks volumes about our unwavering credibility and our profound commitment to the transparency of fund usage. When you make a donation to CURE India, you are directly investing in these training sessions, allowing us to empower local doctors and healthcare workers. This is how we ensure that expert care is not limited to city centers but is available to children in every district and village.

An Urgent Call to Action: Join RunFree2030

Our work is driven by an urgent and inspiring vision. We are currently treating 33% of children born with clubfoot in India. However, our ambitious RunFree2030 initiative is focused on scaling up our efforts to reach 70% of these children in the next five years. Training programs like this one in Dakshina Kannada are absolutely crucial to achieving this goal. By empowering over 150 local doctors in a single day, we dramatically increase the chance that children in those 9 Taluks will be identified and treated in time.

We are building a future where every child can walk with confidence and dignity. Your support is crucial to making a lasting difference. We invite you to be part of this transformative mission—whether through a generous contribution or by lending your time to volunteer with our dedicated teams.
