Bridging Passion with Purpose: CURE India Welcomes JMC Students for a Summer of Social Impact

At CURE India, we believe that the most powerful movements are fueled by fresh perspectives and a shared commitment to equity. On June 29th, 2026, we were thrilled to welcome a new cohort of students from Jesus and Mary College (JMC), University of Delhi, to our National Office for their internship orientation—a day dedicated to aligning academic passion with real-world social change.

An Orientation Rooted in Vision

The program opened with an immersive interaction with our Founder and Director, Dr. Santhosh George. He challenged the students to look beyond the clinical definition of clubfoot and to understand the profound, systemic impact of our work:

  • The Power of Inclusion: Discussing how timely treatment isn't just about orthopedics; it’s about ensuring every child has the freedom to walk, run, and participate fully in society.
  • A Culture of Transparency: Introducing the students to the operational rigors that have established CURE India as one of the Top 10 NGO’s in India, emphasizing that institutional credibility and transparency of fund usage are the foundations of all sustainable social change.
  • The #RunFree2030 Roadmap: Detailing our mission to scale intervention from treating 33% to 70% of all children born with clubfoot in India by 2030.

More Than an Internship—A Transformative Journey

This is not just a placement; it is a collaborative endeavor. Throughout their time with us, these JMC students will gain hands-on experience in:

  • Community-Based Interventions: Understanding how to reach the most vulnerable families through grassroots outreach.
  • Disability Advocacy: Learning how to effectively communicate the importance of early identification and the Ponseti method.
  • Public Health Management: Gaining insights into the complexities of child development programs and the power of collaborative service.

"We are nurturing the next generation of compassionate leaders. By grounding their academic learning in the real-world challenge of eradicating disability, we are empowering them to create impact that lasts far beyond their time with us."

A Partnership for Progress

We extend our sincere gratitude to the faculty of Jesus and Mary College (JMC) for their trust and continued partnership. By connecting their students with our national mission, they are helping to build a more inclusive India.

Join the Movement:

  1. Support Our Mission: Every donation we receive supports the training and clinical infrastructure that students and staff work together to maintain. Give today at cure.org.in/donate.
  2. Stay Connected: Follow our social media channels to see the work these interns accomplish as they dive into community outreach and advocacy.
  3. Spread the Word: Help us demystify clubfoot. When awareness grows, hope follows.

Together, we are not just hosting interns—we are empowering a generation to lead with compassion and build a future where every child can walk, run, and dream without limitations.
