Compassion in Action: How Community Clean-ups and Clubfoot Awareness are Uniting Vadakkenchery for a Disability-Free Future.

At CURE India, we believe that the health of a nation is defined by the strength of its local communities. On July 16, 2026, the town of Vadakkenchery, Palakkad, became a beacon of this philosophy. By merging a Clubfoot Awareness Drive with a Community Clean-up, we demonstrated that environmental stewardship and pediatric health are two sides of the same coin: the commitment to building a better future for every child.
This collaborative initiative—organized in partnership with the Vadakkenchery Grama Panchayat and the National Service Scheme (NSS)—saw a vibrant coming together of local leaders, students, and residents.
As one of the Top 10 NGO’s in India, CURE India is scaling our reach from treating 33% to 70% of all children born with clubfoot in India by 2030 (#RunFree2030). Events like these in Palakkad are essential to this mission. They prove that our transparency of fund usage and institutional credibility are matched by the dedication of our field teams—who are the heartbeat of our national presence.
"Together, we are taking meaningful steps towards a Clubfoot-Free India, while showing that unity across generations is the foundation of a healthier nation."
The success of the Vadakkenchery drive belongs to every volunteer and community partner involved. We invite you to support this momentum:
Together, we are proving that no child has to face a treatable condition alone.
