A Unified Vision for Mobility: Strengthening the Healthcare Ecosystem in Andhra Pradesh through the Renewal of the CURE India-RBSK MoU

In the mission to ensure that no child in India is left behind due to a treatable physical disability, administrative milestones are just as critical as clinical ones. We are proud to announce that CURE India and the state program in Andhra Pradesh have successfully completed the renewal of their Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).
This formal agreement is more than just paperwork; it is a renewed promise to the thousands of families across Andhra Pradesh. It ensures that our collaborative network of clinics remains robust, providing a lifeline of Free Treatment to every child born with clubfoot.
The success of a national-scale health initiative depends on visionary leadership and seamless ground-level coordination. We extend our deepest gratitude to Dr. Prasanth, Program Officer, RBSK (Rashtriya Bal Swasthya Karyakram), for his unwavering support and leadership. His commitment to child health has been instrumental in integrating clubfoot care into the state's public health priorities.
We also acknowledge the tireless efforts of our own team member, Ms. Sireesha, State Program Coordinator (Andhra Pradesh). Her dedication to fostering this partnership and managing the logistical complexities of state-wide coordination is what allows our mission to thrive on the ground.
Through this partnership, children in Andhra Pradesh continue to have access to the Ponseti method, the globally recognized, non-surgical gold standard for clubfoot correction. This method is highly effective and involves:
By providing these services through government hospitals, we ensure that Free Treatment is accessible to even the most vulnerable populations, removing the financial barriers that often lead to lifelong disability.
CURE India is recognized as one of the Top 10 NGO's in India/in the country. This prestigious standing is built on a foundation of credibility and a strict adherence to the transparency of fund usage. As the largest clubfoot program in the world, we have treated the most number of clubfoot children globally.
Our national presence is our greatest asset. From the coastal districts of Andhra Pradesh to the remote corners of the Northeast, CURE India is working in every state. However, our scale is matched by our social impact. We don't just treat feet; we restore childhoods. When a child can walk, they can attend school, participate in their community, and eventually contribute to the economy.
The renewal of the MoU in Andhra Pradesh is a vital step toward our ambitious RunFree2030 mission. Currently, CURE India is treating 33% of children born with clubfoot in India. While this is a monumental achievement, we know that thousands of children are still falling through the cracks.
Our goal is to scale up our operations to reach 70% of children born with clubfoot in the next 5 years. To achieve this, we are:
Ending clubfoot disability in India is a goal within our reach, but it requires the support of the entire community—donors, medical professionals, and the general public.
Every child deserves the chance to walk, run, and thrive. With the continued support of the government of Andhra Pradesh and our generous supporters, we are making that dream a reality, one step at a time.
Help us reach the next 70%.
