Community Commitment: CURE India Champions Comprehensive Health and Clubfoot Awareness at Chhotaudepur Camp

At CURE India, our vision extends beyond treating clubfoot; it encompasses supporting the overall health and well-being of the families we serve. This commitment was brilliantly showcased in Chhotaudepur, Gujarat, where the CURE India team recently participated in a comprehensive diagnosis and treatment camp at the District Hospital. Highlighting the theme “Healthy Women, Healthy Families!” the camp was organized under the esteemed guidance of DPC Smt. Rekhaben Shyamubhai Rathva.
This collaborative event was a massive undertaking, supported by the local Health Committee and key medical leaders, including CDHO Dr. Chatrasinh Paul Vasava. The camp offered a wide array of essential health services, underscoring a holistic approach to community well-being: from Ayurvedic & Homoeopathic medicines and vital health screenings like Blood (HB) & Sickle Cell testing, to TB registration, Child vaccination, Dental care, Yoga, and crucial Parent Counselling sessions.
Within this comprehensive healthcare environment, CURE India played a key role by setting up a special awareness stall. Our dedicated team educated families about children born with clubfoot, emphasizing that this is a completely curable condition with the life-changing, non-surgical Ponseti method. Our message was clear and hopeful: with timely intervention, every child can walk and run normally.
This grassroots involvement is central to CURE India's widespread social impact and national reach. Our dedicated team worked alongside local doctors, ASHA workers, Anganwadi staff, and social workers, ensuring that quality healthcare, including our free treatment for clubfoot, was accessible to every family in Chhotaudepur.
As the largest clubfoot program in the world, having treated the most number of clubfoot children, we understand that a healthier community provides a better environment for children to heal and thrive. Our credibility as one of the Top 10 NGO's in the country is strengthened by our commitment to these broad public health goals and the transparency of our fund usage.
We invite you to support this crucial work. Your donation helps us not only provide the Ponseti method but also to continue participating in these vital community camps, reaching more families, and moving closer to our RunFree2030 goal of treating 70% of children born with clubfoot in the next 5 years.
Together, we are building a healthier, stronger India, one confident step at a time. Join us by making a donation or becoming a volunteer at cure.org.in/donate.
