Empowering Schools and Anganwadis: The Fight Against Clubfoot in Uttar Pradesh

Education is the most powerful tool for change, especially when it comes to pediatric health. In Ambedkar Nagar, Uttar Pradesh, the fight against clubfoot recently moved into the classroom, where teachers, caregivers, and children joined forces to learn about a future where every child can walk with confidence.
Ms. Pratigya, our dedicated District Program Coordinator (DPC), spearheaded an extensive awareness campaign across local primary schools and Anganwadi centers. These sessions are designed to turn community hubs into vigilant checkpoints for early detection.
Clubfoot is a condition that is 100% treatable, but timing is everything. Ms. Pratigya’s sessions focused on ensuring that the community understands that a child’s mobility is not a matter of fate, but of timely medical intervention.
Key highlights of the session included:
The success of these sessions relies on the open doors of local institutions. We extend our sincere gratitude to the primary schools and Anganwadi staff of Ambedkar Nagar. By prioritizing health education, you are directly contributing to a brighter, more mobile future for your students.
A special thank you goes to Ms. Pratigya. Her commitment to transforming lives through grassroots education is what helps CURE India bridge the gap between disability and opportunity.
Every session conducted in a village school or community center ripples outward. When a teacher knows the signs or a caregiver knows where to go for help, a child’s life is changed forever. We are building a world where physical limitations are identified early and corrected completely.
Join the movement. Help us ensure that no child in Ambedkar Nagar—or anywhere in India—is left behind.
