From Healing Feet to Nourishing Communities: The CURE India WePlant India Partnership Takes Root

It was a true privilege at our office today to host Dr. Ashok Kumar Tyagi (Former Deputy Director of Education, District South) and warmly welcome Mr. Narendra Khatri. Their visit marked a powerful alignment of purpose, as Dr. Tyagi assured his full support and guidance to take both the CURE India and WePlant India programs to the next level. This collaboration represents a monumental step toward expanding our vision of holistic transformation for India’s future—encompassing both physical mobility and nutritional security for every child. We were particularly honoured that both Dr. Tyagi and Mr. Khatri, closely associated with the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), graciously presented us with the book RSS 360, highlighting the organization’s selfless contributions to nation-building. This gesture further cemented the spirit of collective action and shared responsibility, inspiring our team to redouble our efforts in social impact.
Through this enhanced partnership, we are envisioning a future where:
This ambitious commitment is driven by a profoundly hopeful and urgent goal: to eradicate hunger and malnutrition in our lifetime, ensuring every child has the opportunity to reach their full potential. At CURE India, we have spent the past 16 years transforming the lives of children born with clubfoot. Now, with WePlant India, we extend our social impact mission to nourishing communities, restoring dignity, and building a sustainable future. Just as the Ponseti method restores mobility to a child’s foot, these Nutrition Forests restore the vitality and future of entire communities and their families.
This powerful synergy between healing and planting is deeply rooted in CURE India’s established credibility. We are globally recognized as the largest clubfoot program in the world, and we have provided free treatment to the most number of clubfoot children, giving them the gift of mobility. Our reputation is built on transparency of fund usage and ethical practices, which has earned us recognition as one of the Top 10 NGOs/Non-Profits in India. This strong and trusted foundation gives the CURE India–WePlant India partnership the credibility to undertake projects of massive scale. With a national presence of 452 clinics, we already have the network and reach to effectively implement healthcare and sustainability initiatives, ensuring that our work touches families in every corner of the country.
The scale of our dual mission demands immediate and sustained action. While we plant seeds for a nourished future, we cannot pause our efforts to heal the present. Our RunFree2030 initiative remains a core priority—scaling up efforts from treating 33% of children born with clubfoot to reaching 70% within the next five years. Healing children’s feet and nourishing their bodies are simultaneous battles, both requiring the support of compassionate citizens. Every donation today supports both:
Your generosity fuels the operational needs of our clinics and the expansion of SeedBank projects—helping us heal, plant, and transform India.
We invite the general public, medical professionals, and donors to partner with us in this powerful two-pronged approach to nation-building. By contributing your time as a volunteer or making a financial gift, you directly empower grassroots impact. Every action, big or small, reinforces the foundation of this incredible movement. Together, let’s heal little feet and secure a healthy future for all. Donate today at cure.org.in/donate.
