From Policy to Practice: How CURE India’s New 5-Year MoU with NHM Rajasthan and Strategic Training are Redefining Disability Care

In the vibrant city of Jaipur, the spirit of progress was palpable from March 19–21, 2026. CURE India successfully concluded an intensive 3-day Staff Training Program at Lords Plaza, marking a pivotal moment for our Rajasthan operations. This gathering was far more than a routine workshop; it was a high-level strategic alignment focused on Program Evaluation and Staff Capacity Building, ensuring that our mission to eradicate clubfoot disability is met with the highest standards of professional excellence.
Guided by the leadership of Dr. Santhosh George (Director) and Dr. Atula Jamir (Manager – Training & Capacity Building), along with the technical expertise of Mr. Shubham Shekhar, Mr. Anand, and Mr. Prathap D G (Finance Officer), ten dedicated Rajasthan team members underwent rigorous mentorship. The training focused on a powerful internal philosophy: “My District, My Responsibility.” This session instilled a deep sense of ownership and accountability, ensuring that at the district level, every child born with clubfoot is identified, treated, and supported with unwavering commitment.
Parallel to this internal strengthening, we are thrilled to announce a major milestone for our national presence. CURE India has officially signed a new 5-year Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the National Health Mission (NHM), Rajasthan. This collaboration, supported by the visionary leadership of NHM Director Dr. Amit Yadav, IAS, is a testament to the credibility and social impact our program has consistently delivered.
Under our #We10 initiative, this partnership does more than just secure the future of clubfoot care; it expands our reach through our sister program, Children in India. For the first time in Rajasthan, we are working alongside the government to bring children with developmental delays into mainstream education. This holistic approach ensures that once a child learns to walk, they also have the opportunity to learn, grow, and thrive in an inclusive classroom environment.
At the heart of our expansion in Rajasthan remains the Ponseti method, the globally recognized, non-surgical gold standard for clubfoot management. By utilizing a series of gentle manipulations and corrective plaster casts, we can achieve full correction in over 95% of cases.
The medical journey is supported by:
By offering Free Treatment and high-quality FAB braces, CURE India eliminates the financial barriers that often prevent families from seeking help. This synergy of government support and non-profit expertise ensures that a child's mobility is a right, not a privilege.
CURE India has achieved the distinction of being the largest clubfoot program in the world, having treated the most number of clubfoot children globally. This scale of operation is why we are recognised to be the Top 10 NGO's/Non-Profits in India/in the country.
For our donors and the general public, our reputation is built on transparency of fund usage. We understand that every Donation represents a choice to invest in an independent future for a child. Our national presence allows us to maintain strict clinical oversight, ensuring that every rupee contributed is utilized to provide the best possible care, from the urban hubs of Jaipur to the most remote desert villages.
Our journey toward a clubfoot-free nation is guided by the ambitious and urgent RunFree2030 mission. Currently, CURE India is treating 33% of all children born with clubfoot in India. While this is a monumental achievement, our goal is to scale up to reach 70% of children born with clubfoot in the next 5 years.
This expansion is a mechanical necessity. The signing of the 5-year MoU in Rajasthan is a critical building block in this plan. By strengthening our staff's capacity and securing long-term government partnerships, we are ensuring that by 2030, no child in India is left behind due to a lack of resources or awareness.
The success of the Jaipur training and the NHM partnership is a call to action for everyone who believes in an inclusive India.
Together, through strategic training and powerful partnerships, we are ensuring that every child in Rajasthan and across India can walk confidently into a brighter, independent future.
Together, we make hope walk.
