A Milestone of Mobility: CURE India Inaugurates 50th Clubfoot Clinic in Gujarat at Ayush Hospital, Bhuj

In our ongoing mission to ensure that no child in India is left behind by a treatable physical disability, CURE India has reached a significant landmark. On June 6th, 2026, we proudly inaugurated our 50th Clubfoot Clinic in Gujarat at the esteemed Ayush Hospital in Bhuj.

This milestone coincided with our nationwide #WorldClubfootDay2026 commemorations, making it a double celebration of growth, community, and the promise of a future where disability does not define a child’s potential.

A Vision Realized: Partnership for Progress

The establishment of this new MOU-based clinic is the culmination of a shared vision held by Dr. Upendra Vaghela, Director of Ayush Hospital. Recognizing the critical need for specialized pediatric orthopaedic care in the region, Dr. Vaghela has been a staunch advocate for integrating CURE India’s proven treatment protocols into Ayush Hospital’s service offerings across Gujarat.

By expanding our footprint, we are dramatically reducing the distance families must travel to receive high-quality, evidence-based care.

"The inauguration of our 50th clinic in Gujarat is more than just a number; it represents the 50th point of access for families who were previously waiting for care. With Dr. Upendra Vaghela’s support, we are making clubfoot treatment accessible, local, and sustainable."

Celebrating with the Community

The inauguration event was a heartwarming reflection of what we do: bringing families together to share in the joy of healing. We were honored to host 10 children and their families currently undergoing treatment, alongside hospital staff and local community members. Their presence reminded us why we do what we do—to see these children move from the pain of deformity to the freedom of walking, running, and playing.

The event’s seamless execution was a testament to the dedication of:

  • Ms. Sesil (SPC, Gujarat): For her tireless facilitation and leadership in our state-wide expansion.
  • Ms. Jaywanthi Makwan (DPC, Bhuj): For her exceptional coordination and grassroots commitment, ensuring that the clinic is ready to serve the community from day one.

CURE India: The Gold Standard of Care

As one of the Top 10 NGO’s in India, CURE India is defined by our dedication to clinical excellence and radical transparency of fund usage. We operate the largest clubfoot program in the world, and our expansion in Gujarat is a vital part of our #RunFree2030 mission.

How You Can Support the Movement:

  1. Make a Donation: Your support funds the casting materials and FAB (Foot Abduction Braces) for children at new clinics like the one in Bhuj. Give at cure.org.in/donate.
  2. Spread Awareness: Help us reach parents who still believe clubfoot is permanent. Your voice helps families find the path to treatment.
  3. Stay Connected: Follow our progress as we continue to scale toward our #RunFree2030 goal of treating 70% of all clubfoot cases in India.

Together, we are building a more inclusive future where every child can walk, run, and dream without limitations.
